Split over pro boxing

BRADLEY WATSON may get the chance to fight in front of his own fans in the early days of his professional career.

The 20-year-old self-styled 'Glamour Boy' makes his professional debut in Southampton next month, when he takes on Anwar Alfadli in one of 10 bouts at the Oceana nightclub.

While his focus is on that fight, Watson's manager has given a strong hint that the Sarnian could fight on home soil in the coming months or years.

Mickey Helliet of Mickey Helliet Boxing Management has previously managed Danny Williams, who beat heavyweight legend Mike Tyson, while also taking Ashley Sexton to British and Commonwealth title challenges.

'I'm excited by Bradley,' he said.
