AFTER nearly 40 years of providing a home to people in desperate need, 18, Havilland Street, is on the market.
AFTER nearly 40 years of providing a home to people in desperate need, 18, Havilland Street, is on the market.
The property is owned by the not-for-profit Sarnia Housing Association. It was donated to the charity by a Mr and Mrs Parsons in 1972 on the condition that their daughter, Muriel, was able to continue to occupy the ground-floor flat.
Following her death last year, the association has put the building on the market to raise funds for a new property to help the needy.
Association chairman Martin Le Boutillier said that number 18 was not suited to their needs.
