THE Merriens found time in their busy schedule yesterday to cheer on their young Guernsey team-mate Todd Priaulx, who is heading his group in the Junior Bowls World Cup at Warilla in New South Wales.

'Todd has been playing very consistently and, although he found the second set against the Canadian Jonathan Pituley hard work yesterday, he found form in the tie break,' said world indoor singles champion Alison.

Today Todd, who is making his debut on the world stage, defeated Hong Kong's Desmond Hau in straight sets, 13-5, 9-7, and is still unbeaten in his group, with four wins in as many games.
