Smart shows the way
A FANTASTIC sunny Sunday morning for mountain biking on a fast dry course at Pleinmont gave Rob Smart another victory in the Ian Brown's Arrowsmith Marlowe Guernsey Velo Club Championship.

With the expert riders racing for 90 minutes on a course that utilised the whole of the motocross track, farmers' tracks and a section of single track, Smart managed to open an early lead over fellow Island Games hopeful James Roe that, despite Roe's best efforts, he could not close.
Andy Colver rode a solid race to finish third.
In the advanced category Geoff Gibson got an early break and was never threatened by second-placed James Harrison.
