SOME 15 full- or part-time jobs will be created by a new restaurant that will open in the Town Markets building in July.

The Gourmet Burger Kitchen outlet will seat more than 120 diners and have about 50 alfresco seats in Market Square.

Three New Zealanders established GBK in 2001. There are now more than 50 restaurants across the British Isles and the chain has won several awards including: Time Out's Top Ten Burgers, Retailers' Best Concept and Best Burger in Harden's London Restaurant Review.
