JENSON BUTTON heads into this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix still smarting from being beaten by a couple of 40-year-old Guernsey women in a bike race.

The McLaren star opted to take part in a 40km time-trial around his home island of Guernsey during the recent F1 mini-break to compliment his Formula One and triathlon training.

However, it did not all go according to plan for the 31-year-old, as he said: 'Sixty-two people took part and I finished 34th.

'I was absolutely annihilated by the local boys, which was quite embarrassing.'
