Le Poullain is star of show

BILLY LE POULLAIN was the local star at St Pierre Park as he won a humdinger of a contest in the final Dinner Boxing Show of this season on Friday.

The Alderney lad unsurprisingly won bout of the night for his epic win over Daniel Vicary, achieved by unanimous decision at the end of the three rounds.

Coming on fourth after three successive local losses against the Western Counties, it was up to Le Poullain to get the Amalgamated Boys Club off the mark and he took the attack to Vicary immediately.

He landed a couple of beauties as the opening round ended with both lads going toe-to-toe, something that continued into and through the second.
