HEATHER WATSON gave herself the birthday present she craved yesterday - another win at the French Open.
The Guernsey girl, who has just turned 19, came through her second round match of the qualifying draw in straight sets, but it was far from easy.
Up against another 19-year-old in Sally Peers, Watson was kept on court for just short of two hours by the Australian at the famous Roland Garros stadium.
Things were not too promising to begin with either.
