HEATHER WATSON will feature on the clay courts of Roland Garros for at least another match after battling through the final round of qualifying for the French Open.

The 19-year-old Sarnian qualified by right for the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time after beating Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele 6-4, 6-4.

It means the world number 119 will significantly improve her world ranking.

The victory makes Watson the first British woman since Kate Brasher in 1983 to win a match in the final qualifying round in Paris.
