GUERNSEY played their get out of jail card with great aplomb yesterday at the KGV.
After being bowled out for just 222 on a lovely track that deserved to see a score of 300 posted, the home side looked destined for defeat with the MCC passing 130 with just two wickets down.
However, they lost their final eight wickets for 80 runs to lose by 20 to a very disciplined Guernsey bowling and fielding performance.
'To some extent, it was a wake-up call,' said island manager Pete Vidamour.
