KIWI Ian Atchison played the lead role as Cenkos Centurion opened the maiden Clydesdale GPL T20 season with a convincing five-wicket win over Wave Telecom Warriors at KGV this evening.

The left-handed all-rounder struck 56 as the Centurions reached their target of 152 for eight.

Centurions' star former England star Shaun Udal played a key role, too, with both bat and ball, while Warriors' professional Charlie Shreck accounted for Cenkos captain Jeremy Frith in a lively spell of pace bowling on a flat track.
