Kimber smites BDO to victory

TOM KIMBER is no classicist with bat in hand, but he has one hell of an eye and hits the ball harder than probably any islander.

Nottinghamshire all-rounder Paul Franks discovered that as Kimber (pictured) both steered and smote BDO to a fine win over Mourant Ozannes at KGV this morning.

Kimber's 83 not out got BDO over the finish line after Franks had earlier hit a fine 89 in an under-par Mourant Ozannes total of 140.
