Deputy Carla McNulty Bauer (pictured) said it was a concern that both high-speed vessels that are serving Guernsey were having problems and the department was receiving regular updates from Condor.
It was expected the vessels would be running at normal speed this week.
Speaking on yesterday's BBC Guernsey phone-in, she said: 'I and Commerce and Employment do regret the disruption and distress caused to passengers by the current difficulties.'
