Games challenge: 'Come back better'

THERE are just 746 days to go until the 15th NatWest Island Games in Bermuda.

That gives Team Guernsey just over two years to enjoy the success of last week in the Isle of Wight where the Sarnians were simply awesome.

A total medals tally of 107 - 41 gold, 41 silver and 25 bronze - put them top of the medals table by some distance and they returned home to a hero's reception on Saturday evening.

But as the 14th Games came to a close on Friday evening, the International Island Games Association chairman Jorgen Pettersson emphasised that there is always room for improvement.
