When they edged home by a single shot against the Irish champions from Bangor, skipped by Atlantic championships star Myles Greenfield, Matt Le Ber's quartet found themselves in a strange situation.
With Len Le Ber leading for his son Matt, and Garry Collins and Gary Pitschou in the engine-room, the Sarnian quartet were delighted to return an 18-17 scorecard - but were curiously reluctant to celebrate.
'It was an exciting match, and we were pleased to win it,' said skip Matt Le Ber.
