Derby courses test the riders
COMBINATIONS were given the traditional stern test on day two of the BS Guernsey Derby Show.

It kicked off with the speed derby, testing the riders' speed and accuracy over a technical course of fences.
Honours in the first of these classes went to nursery rider Caitlin Torode riding Flymo securing the lead by five seconds.
The following 12.2hh section went to Millay Blustery and Grace Hicks, while the pony novice speed derby winners were Dunshane Just William and Alicia Falla, with Hairy Hatman and Sarah Gaudion coming a very close second.
