Italian job on home soil for Guernsey

GUERNSEY have been drawn in a group with the highest-ranked team in the ICC European Division One T20 Championship.

The island will co-host the event with Jersey from 19-24 July and will face, among others, Italy, who are currently 15th in the CricketEurope rankings for ICC associate and affiliate nations.

Guernsey, who are 21st in that list, will also face Norway, Gibraltar, Croatia and Austria in group A.

'It is so difficult to know what these sides are going to be like,' said island manager Pete Vidamour.
