GSPCA questions magpie killer's 'horrific' practice
AFTER numerous complaints from islanders about dead magpies hanging from trees at a Castel property, the GSPCA plans to do all it can to investigate.
AFTER numerous complaints from islanders about dead magpies hanging from trees at a Castel property, the GSPCA plans to do all it can to investigate.
Welfare and education officer Emma Trousdale, 29, and animal collection officer Geoff George, 33, visited the house where the magpies are hung yesterday morning and were disgusted by what they saw.
'It is just absolutely horrific. There is simply no need for it,' Miss Trousdale said. 'It is weird and we do not understand why he would do this.'
The magpies were captured and killed by Chris Fish.
Mr George said: 'We have had more than four individual calls about this case in the past week, so it is definitely upsetting a number of people.
