DARREN WARWICK has made history after becoming the fastest Channel Islander ever up Le Val des Terres in a remarkable hill climb meet.
With the previous record standing at 29.68sec. by Nick Saunders, it was Saunders himself who was the man who shattered it again, posting 29.33 in his third run of the afternoon.
But Warwick (pictured) then went even quicker, reaching the line in 29.31 to earn the fastest time of a day in which a further eight class records fell and one was equalled.
It made it arguably the fastest local meeting ever witnessed, with James Shorto the day's other standout driver, going sub-30 for the first time with 29.95, taking a barely-believable 1.57 off his class record, held by his father Ian.
