A ROUND described as 'one of the best of the year' saw Tom Pattimore retain his Guernsey Junior club championship title at the weekend.
Five shots back at lunch after a horrid back nine in his morning round, the defending champion (pictured) hit back in tremendous style with a gross 69 in the afternoon to finish two shots ahead of the field.
'Talk about turning things around,' said GJGC president Bill Le Huray.
'Tom was actually two under gross through eight holes of his morning round, but I believe he three-stabbed 12, four-putted 13 and then three-putted 14 to come in with an 81.'
