Matt Le Ber (pictured) enjoyed a fantastic day on his own Corbet Field rinks on Saturday, landing his third island men's singles title and the Press Open Singles, not to mention a starring role in yet another Tostevin Triples success for the mighty Falcons combination.

At 26, the Vale Rec man is destined to become one of the all-time greats of the game locally, if not the very best. His dark green bowls seemingly enjoyed a magnetic relationship with the yellow jacks all day long.

But he needed all his skill and nerve to stave off the challenge of his Vale Rec club partner Gary Pitschou to wrap up his third Elliott Singles crown.
