ISLANDERS finally got to see how the former Woolworths premises had been linked to the Marks and Spencer store on the High Street at the weekend.
A launch party on Friday evening attracted more than 200 people eager to see the result of the £4m. transformation ahead of its first full day of trading on Saturday.
Margaret Rumens and Anne Diamond, who have both worked at Creasey's for more than 40 years, officially opened the new store.
Tony Creasey, managing director of Creasey's, which holds the M&S franchise in the island, said the reception to the opening had been brilliant.
