A year earlier, at L'Ancresse, the Sarnians had recorded their first victory in 12 years in the annual clash.
With the majority of that team still in the age group, hopes were high that Guernsey could retain the trophy at La Moye against a Jersey side including four new caps.
However, despite edging the opening foursomes, the visitors slipped to a 13.5-6.5 defeat.
