Gulls struck down by a mysterious illness
THE GSPCA has asked islanders to be vigilant after 18 sick gulls were brought in over the weekend suffering from a mystery illness.

THE GSPCA has asked islanders to be vigilant after 18 sick gulls were brought in over the weekend suffering from a mystery illness.
The types that have been found are adult and juvenile black back and herring gulls.
The first birds appeared at the GSPCA on Saturday afternoon, with most found on the west coast and some towards the north of the island.
GSPCA manager Steve Byrne said the birds were being found in lethargic states and were deteriorating quickly.
