Ellie's toy duck is a Channel swimmer

A TOY duck belonging to seven-year-old Ellie Inder made its way across the English Channel to Falmouth after taking part in this year's Harbour Carnival duck race.

A TOY duck belonging to seven-year-old Ellie Inder made its way across the English Channel to Falmouth after taking part in this year's Harbour Carnival duck race.

The Forest Primary student had entered her duck, with her name and her mother's mobile phone on the bottom of it, into the competition, to see which duck could reach the finish the fastest.

But her mum, Becky, never expected to receive a phone call from a man in Falmouth who said he had found it.

'When I received the phone call I was so shocked because I just put her name and my number on it so it wouldn't get lost.
