GUERNSEY bowlers, who did not have a great deal to cheer about on Friday when they completed their group campaigns in the Atlantic pairs and triples championships, have it all to play for again in Cyprus this week.

The five-man and five-woman teams regroup today to challenge for the singles and fours titles, and start with a clean sheet after a disappointing opening week.

Hit by the withdrawal of Kris Bichard and Dan de la Mare, Guernsey's men found some form in the triples, and, in the end, were unlucky not to qualify for the knockout stage.

Garry Collins, Gary Pitschou and Matt Le Ber won their last group game against Israel, 13-12, but could have done with a bigger margin because they tied in third place with Canada, who were six shots better off.
