ROBERT Sillars has been elected to the Education Department.

ROBERT Sillars has been elected to the Education Department.

He replaces Deputy Matt Fallaize who resigned because of the handling of falling GCSE results.

Deputy Sillars (pictured) beat Education's candidate for the post Alderney representative Paul Arditti by 26 votes to 18.

An independent review is currently being carried out of Education services.
