A MAN who came to the aid of a victim of an attempted murder was presented with a Crime Prevention Panel award last night.
At the Guernsey Police annual awards ceremony, Brian Teed, 57, was commended for his efforts in February last year when he drove Richard Wordsworth to hospital after he had been stabbed by Anthony Jones.
During the presentation, deputy chief officer Ian Morellec said the victim had staggered into Grand Fort Road, St Sampson's, after the attack, bleeding heavily. He had tried to flag down a car but drivers had passed him by until Mr Teed came along.
He said Mr Teed's actions had helped a seriously injured man and assisted in the conviction of Jones.
