LOCAL market house prices remained relatively static during the third quarter of 2011 – but are still up on the same time last year.

During the period, the average cost of a local property was £427,025, which is 4.5% higher than the same period in 2010 but only £200 different to the price at the end of June.

The figures were published in the Policy Council's latest property prices bulletin.

It also showed that 219 local market transactions were made between July and September, compared with 235 in the third quarter of last year.
