CURFEWS on flight extensions will be reduced during the airport redevelopment to ensure the contractors have a reasonable period of night possession, Guernsey Airport's director has said.

Colin Le Ray (pictured) said the extension policy was yet to be determined but did not expect disruption to flights to be significant.

'We'll discuss with Lagan where the cut-off will be,' he said.

'Hopefully, we can offer some extensions beyond 9pm.

'A curfew in time will occur so extensions will be for a limited period – that will be our policy throughout reconstruction in order to maximise work at night.'
