AN ISLANDER'S 25-year dream of converting her stables into homes has been given new life after a planning tribunal overturned a decision to refuse the application.

The appeal was made by Ann Castle, who had requested permission to build three homes on a field at Belgrave Vinery and next to a property she owned called Greenways.

Planners had turned down the application after deciding that access to the site was insufficient.

Employment law advisor Andrew Castle, who represented his wife at the hearing, said she and her daughter were delighted.
