Airlines could lose support from States in savings initiative

STATES support for airlines and routes could be cut by £500,000.

But Commerce and Employment said changes to its airline policies were still under consideration.

The review had initially been regarded as having the potential to make £710,000 in savings as a Financial Transformation Programme initiative.

Last year's estimates, which show the move is in its final business case stage, put the amount at half a million.
