A DRUNKEN airline passenger who had to be removed from a Flybe flight to London on Friday morning just before take-off was fined £800 in the Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Edward Jones, 59, of 36a, Upcerne Road, Chelsea, London, admitted using threatening behaviour towards cabin crew Rachael Hartley.
Advocate Clare Tee told the court that her client had been drinking that morning after taking prescription medication.
She said he had asked her to apologise to all those affected by his behaviour, which she described as being completely out of character.
Imposing a fine, Judge Philip Robey said it was 'truly appalling behaviour' and that there was no excuse for it.
