AIRPORT contractor Lagan Construction will set up a 24-hour hotline so islanders can settle their gripes and grievances throughout the £80.4m. project.

Contracts manager Steven Turner said he was aware that a number of concerns had already been expressed about potential noise and light pollution and dust clouds by people living near the company's four temporary storage and material processing compounds.

He said the anxiety was understandable.

'People have justifiable concerns – if I was going to be someone living near a site like that, I would be asking the same questions,' he said.
