Condor Ferries has been forced to sail to Poole this weekend after cracks were found in the harbour wall at Weymouth.
Problems at the Dorset port were discovered earlier this week, leading to emergency work.
Condor has warned that passengers will face longer journey times while the Weymouth berth is out of action.
Operations manager Captain Fran Collins said the company was working to keep the lifeline route going.
Condor is contacting passengers about the changes and updates will be available at: www.condorferries.com.
