'We are pleased it is finally over as we have been really concerned and it has been hard.

'I don't know what will happen but as far as we know we are still trading as Peacocks.'

A statement from administrator KPMG said Edinburgh Woollen Mill, one of the UK's largest high street chains, has acquired the Peacocks brand and 388 stores and concessions, as well as its headquarters and logistics functions in Wales.
