MISS GUERNSEY is happy to retain her crown for as long as she is needed.
Hairdresser Lisa Knott won the title in 2010.
Since then, however, the renowned competition has not taken place and there is no confirmation that it will this year.
'I have not heard of anything about another competition. No one has got in touch with me so I really don't know what is happening,' the 22-year-old said. 'But I am quite happy to hold the title until there is another one.'
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Miss Guernsey, the search for Miss Alderney 2012 is on.
