AROUND 30% of primary schoolchildren did not reach the learning level set for English and maths by the end of Year 6 in 2011.

The expected level of attainment is level 4 or above at the end of Key Stage Two.

Seven primary schools – Amherst, Castel, Hautes Capelles, La Mare de Carteret, Vauvert, St Andrew's and Vale – were below the Bailiwick average for English and maths, which stood at 67 % and 71% respectively.

The remaining schools exceeded those measures.

Education's annual report details the results but also highlights the percentage of pupils at each school who have achieved two levels of progress in English and maths by the end of their primary education .
