RETIRING Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland presided over his last sitting of the Royal Court yesterday.

During the Full Court sitting, Sir Geoffrey gave a farewell speech, during which he thanked the Law Officers, the Jurats and all the civil servants who had supported him during his career and term of office.

HM Procureur Howard Roberts gave a farewell speech to Sir Geoffrey.

Later in the day more than 50 women took the opportunity to say farewell to Lady Rowland.

A special reception was organised at Government House by Mary Le Poidevin.

The guest list included many people who had worked with Lady Rowland during her time in office or had been connected with her charity work.
