Nominations for election close at 4pm today

TODAY is the last chance for prospective deputies to submit their nomination for next month's general election.

Candidates have until 4pm to hand their forms in at the Royal Court.

All seven districts will now have a contested election, after St Peter Port North yesterday became the last to have more candidates than seats.

It was still a quiet day for nominations, with only four people putting their name forward yesterday.
