ENVIRONMENTALISTS and people living around La Planque Lane, Forest, are hoping to block an application for a new aircraft hangar for the eighth time.

The seventh application for build, which will be used to house private planes, was submitted in 2010 but a decision on its approval was never made.

Now that application has been revised by a new consortium, consisting mainly of the same group of islanders, called EGJB Hangarage Ltd.

Andrea Dodd, 37, who has lived at Les Nouettes for 15 years, said the community had more than once shown it would not accept a hangar on the site.

But EGJB Hangarage director Barry Pitfield, pictured, said, in reality, there would be little impact.
