REUNITED with his beloved Sunbeam motorbike after almost 50 years, Dave Kilminster said he felt like the luckiest man on earth.
The 80-year-old bought the machine in 1955, when he ventured on a romantic trip away with his then girlfriend to the south of France.
Fast-forward half-a-century and he finally set eyes on the 1952 Sunbeam 500 S7 again, when his son, Paul, tracked it down and presented it to him as a belated birthday present.
The great-grandfather, originally from Swindon, still rides it every Sunday at The Quay with the British Motorcycle Club Guernsey.
