IT was standing room only for the St Sampson's hustings last night.
Between 300 and 400 parishioners packed St Sampson's High School and, with 11 candidates standing for six seats, it proved to be an interesting evening.
It began fairly casually but some were soon slapping down recent reports as the competition for votes heated up.
Questions from the floor generated popular topics - education, waste, affordable housing, traffic, transparency and accountability.
Hustings were also held in Herm and for voters in the West region. Today's Press has more details of the Herm meeting while Saturday's will have detailed reports on the gatherings in the West and St Sampson's.
