CONTINGENCY plans are in place to make sure islanders do not lose their right to vote if polling stations are too busy for them to reach the ballot box in time, an election official has said.
The polls close at 8pm on Wednesday 18 April.
And deputy registrar general of electors David Robilliard advised electors to ballot as soon as possible.
'In St Peter Port, islanders have 12 hours and everywhere else has 10 hours to get their votes in,' he said.
'We'd advise everyone to vote early if possible but of course it's not possible for everyone.'
