Sarnia H-car site developer looks to change flats plan

HOUSING could soon be going up on a former commercial site at Stanley Road, St Peter Port.

The old Sarnia Car Hire garage, close to St Stephen's Church, has been undergoing a transformation as workers remove existing asbestos cement cladding.

Infinity property developers bought the site two months ago.

Director Paul Nobes said the area had permission in principle for 28 flats, but his company planned to do something a bit different.

'We are hoping to put in planning permission for housing in the next few weeks,' he said.
