MORE than half of the election candidates are backing island-wide voting, freedom of information and States-supported nursery education.

MORE than half of the election candidates are backing island-wide voting, freedom of information and States-supported nursery education.

Results of the Guernsey Press Your Vote survey, which asked all 78 aspiring deputies questions on key issues picked by readers, showed all three topics are primed to come back to the States during the next Assembly.

But it was nursery education - an issue that has been long discussed but lacked any proposals - that was the most heavily supported, with 50 votes.
