Voters urged to come dressed for a wait on what could be a wet and cold day

VOTERS will come out whatever the weather if they are interested in who is running their island, St Sampson's returning officer John Foster, pictured, has said.

But the forecast for polling day tomorrow is for it to be cold and wet, with hail and thunder.

With queues expected outside some polling stations at busy times, islanders are being warned to come prepared for wet weather just in case.

St Sampson's voters will be filling in their ballot papers at the douzaine room and at the Church Schools (Potters Corner). 'There is only limited space in the foyer and there are queues normally, although they are mostly inside,' Mr Foster said.

'If the weather is bad, then people should come prepared.'
