There's really only one subject on everyone's mind today, and as a result most of our reporters' time will be occupied getting reaction from various quarters to last night's election results.

As the dust settles and the island takes stock of who's in and who's out, we'll be looking at what the successes of the various candidates could mean for Guernsey's future.

And with the current chief minister re-elected last in his district there's speculation that perhaps the island will have a new incumbent when the States votes on 1 May.

We'll also be talking to business leaders to see what they make of the results.

Among other stories we're looking at are two involving the College of Further Education.

The first sees chefs from all over the islands competing today for the title of Channel Islands Chef of the Year. We'll be taking pictures and talking to competitors. The results are due to be announced next week.

And a group of CFE students are off to China. The trip by performing arts students follows a visit to the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts by the Chinese ambassador two years ago, and her subsequent invitation to the students to visit the country.
