THE Castel Douzaine wants parking restrictions put in place at Cobo car park to eliminate abandoned cars.

The much-disputed car park has had problems in the past with people leaving cars there for long periods of time or dumping them permanently.

At a parish meeting held last night, dean of the douzaine Nick Dorey said that although some of the cars had been removed, it would be a lot easier with legal parking restrictions put in place.

However, he said the problem would be to see how the process would work with land over which there is a dispute.

Castel Douzaine has fought for four years against Thomas Holroyd, who claims his company, A. W. Holdings, owns Cobo car park.
