Side magnificent in defeat - Siam fans

GUERNSEY put on a magnificent performance in the Siam Cup despite being beaten 29-0, the crowd said on Saturday.

Hundreds of supporters from both Guernsey and Jersey filled the stands at Footes Lane.

They said the atmosphere at the game was brilliant and, although it was wet and windy, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Consultant Angus McLellan attended the annual sporting event with his two sons, George and James.

'It was a great game. Jersey's tactics worked well in the first half but then Guernsey put on a magnificent show in the second half.
